Smith Partnership upgrade from Vizual Personnel Manager to People Inc.
The Smith Partnership are one of the largest firms of solicitors in the East Midlands. They have a network of offices throughout the region, including Derby, Leicester, Burton, Stoke and Swadlincote.
With over 200 employees based in multiple offices in the East Midlands they needed a HR System which would not only record all relevant information about their employees but have plenty of functionality to help them manage the information. Areas such as Absence Management and Training Management are key functions of the HR department and People Inc will provide them with a facility to carry out these tasks in the most effective and efficient way, saving them time and money.
Having been using their previous HR System for the past several years, Smith Partnership were finding that it was struggling to cope whilst working on their thin client systems. Additionally, they were unable to properly and accurately record and report on absence allowances and track this against absence taken by employees. This meant a great deal of time consuming manual effort managing who had how many days left for each category of absence.
“Finally, we can accurately keep a track of how many days holiday our employees have at any given time”, says Christine Watkins, HR Manager at Smith Partnership. “I didn’t think it would be possible due to our complex absence rules, but the fact that it accurately calculates our allowances is saving us a huge amount of time and effort”.
Due to People Inc. HR’s comprehensive and accurate absence management system and because of the wide range of other powerful functionality, Smith Partnership felt this was the right time to upgrade to People Inc. Additionally, because People Inc is designed to work on a thin-client environment the decision to move to People Inc was an easy choice.
Included in the upgrade from Vizual Personnel Manager to People Inc. was a free upgrade licence which we are able to offer through our partnership with P&A Group who develop People Inc HR. The Smith Partnership found that not only was the upgrade stress free, it was also extremely cost effective.
“Not only do we have a great deal more for our money, but AgathonHR have provided an excellent level of service and support and are always at the end of the phone if we have any queries”, says Christine. “They even dial in to to our PC’s to help when we are struggling to produce a more complex report for example”.
