What’s new in Astute LXP – January 2026 update (v3.4.6)

Introduction

What’s new in Astute LXP from VinciWorks? Read the latest release notes on what has been improved in the learning management system.

January 2025 brings a number of enhancements to the Astute e-learning platform this time focusing on making enrolments and re-enrolments clearer for administrators along with improvements across reporting, compliance and enrolment workflows.

Improvements have been made with how Astute handles learners affected by re-enrolment schedules or previous LMS records, giving admins better visibility into why someone isn’t enrolling yet — and clearer options on what to do next.

Smarter enrolment when dates already exist

Astute now makes enrolment behaviour clearer when a learner already has a future enrolment scheduled — whether through a re-enrolment rule or a previous LMS record.

Administrators are alerted straight away and can choose to:

• Keep the existing enrolment date, or
• Bring the learner forward if needed

This removes uncertainty, prevents duplicate enrolments, and makes it easy to understand exactly how enrolment timing is decided.

More flexibility when using previous LMS records

Enrolment rules now include a new option that allows learners to be enrolled before the expiry of mapped records from a previous LMS.

This gives organisations greater control when migrating from another system or when aligning historic training data with current learning requirements.

Small changes that improve everyday usability

We’ve made a few subtle but impactful usability improvements:

• A new loading indicator when copying courses, so admins always know what’s happening
• Clearer guidance within re-enrolment settings, making setup quicker and reducing the chance of errors

More reliable reporting and compliance

Reporting has been strengthened to ensure greater accuracy and consistency:

• Filters in the LXP Report Builder now retain selected options when edited
• Reports generate correctly when titles include apostrophes
• Only fields marked Include in Reports now appear in the Report Builder
• Bespoke course titles now display correctly in compliance reports

Improved re-enrolment reliability

We’ve resolved several issues to ensure enrolment and re-enrolment rules work exactly as expected:

• Enrolment rules using OR logic now apply correctly
• Target Completion Dates are copied accurately during re-enrolment
• Re-enrolment event titles now display in the correct, configurable date format
• Learners with previous LMS records will no longer be enrolled early onto events that haven’t started.
